Timothy Geithner, in remarks to Congress, has apparently committed up to a total of 2.5 TRILLION (yes boys and girls, that's with a T, not a B, or an M) to restoring the health of our financial system.
When does it end? When do American legislators and other people who have influence on this step up and say "Yes, we are in a bad place. It's gonna hurt, but if you guys just hang tight for a few years, we CAN get through it. Yes, it HAS happened before, and probably WILL happen again, but don't worry. It'll be ok..."
Instead, we're throwing good money after bad, and while I'm no expert, it seems to be de-valuing the dollar immensely, as well as putting the average American between a rock and a hard place...and I don't like it.
